Creating clear prose from complex topics

About

Who I’m Not

I am not a content mill. I don’t write poofy fluff. If you want an article about “10 Must-Have Accessories for Every Wardrobe” or “How to Make the Perfect PB&J Sandwich,” then I’m not your writer. I have nothing to say about movie stars that someone else couldn’t say better.

Unless it’s about Buffy. If you need an article like “From High School to Hellmouth: How ‘Buffy’ Redefined the Female Hero,” we should talk.

Informational Content is My Sweet Spot

I am a content writer who enjoys researching topics deeply and producing informative, well-researched content. I prioritize accuracy, credibility, and in-depth understanding of the subjects I cover. I like taking on complex topics and making them relatable to a regular human like me.

I am not intimidated by technical content–I love it. I worked in facilities and construction for a number of years, and I have a general grounding in how things work. There are physical laws to the world we live in:  water runs downhill and freezes at 32 degrees F at sea level. If something can’t be explained so that a regular human can get the gist, then it’s probably snake oil. That’s what I believe.

I love writing about energy efficiency, case studies, or facilities. I enjoy writing when I learn something, and I’ve written in-depth about commercial refrigeration, backup generators, kitchen equipment, and HVAC. I take pride in creating lucid, reader-friendly content that presents a compelling argument while engaging the reader.

Technical content shouldn’t be boring or bury the reader in details. Make your case and stand by it. I’d love to help.

My Ideal Client

My ideal client may know WHAT they want, but they may not know HOW to get there. I enjoy working with subject matter experts to learn about their pain points and pride myself on building a trusting partnership quickly by asking the right questions.

For example, you may have the best engineering partner, and together, you may have built an outstanding building, but internal marketing and sales teams may not have the skill set to translate that into compelling content that celebrates your success. I’d love to sink my keyboard into that project.

If you know your stuff but don’t know how to share it with the world in writing, I’d love to work with you.
